As a Northern Michigan Photographer, based out of Traverse City, Leah Renee Photography has been shooting for almost ten years now. Previously a photographer for the Petoskey and Gaylord areas, I've expanded my business to specifically Traverse City and the surrounding areas.Photography is a huge part of my life. I love providing a newly married couple their wedding photos. I love capturing a baby, knowing that their parents are going to cherish those baby photos forever. Senior photos mark the time a graduate becomes an adult, family photographs are a dear moment of our loved ones. So, I ask myself, what would I want in my wedding photos? My family portraits? Quite simply, easy to list, but hard to find- I want a photographer who is experienced. The photography experience should be entertaining and enjoyable while achieving great customer service. The photo session should be fun, leaving me with an excitement to see the proofs. The photograph proofs should be edited and provided for viewing in a timely manor. The results of the photo session should be amazing! Unique photographs, trendy composition, one of a kind editing. Finally, after choosing the photographs to order, the photographer would provide products and prints in a quick amount of time. These thoughts are how I came up with what I wanted to provide. I give clients what I would want in a wedding, family, senior, baby, or portrait photographer.Here's a small explanation of what we do-Wedding Photography-Wedding Photography in Northern Michigan is a wonderful experience. With the beauty of the land, the surrounding lakes, and the upscale little downtown areas, finding the perfect location for your photos is a breeze. Whether your wedding is in a grassy field or on a sandy beach we will get the best shots! Wedding photo packages are typically an all day event where we capture getting ready photos, accessory photos, bridal party photos, family photos, bride and groom photos, and reception photos. Wedding photographs consist of a wonderful blend of modern/ contemporary, traditional posed, and photojournalistic. Leah Renee Photography, unlike many photography businesses, edits every single proof. Your skin will look flawless for you to show off to family and friends. Your proofs will also have many creative edited versions, including black and white photographs, retro photographs, and a variety of color tinted photographs.Family Portraits, Senior Portraits, and Baby Portraits-These sessions are shot at your choice of location at no charge for travel. These are fun sessions that are done by the hour. There's no limit on how many photo proofs we do, and again- every single photo is edited providing you with flawless pictures and many creative photographs to boot!

Is there something special that you want to make sure we get? Is there certain shots you've seen that are a must? Well it's important to us, and we will take note so that the day of- we are capturing exactly what you had in mind. Advantages to hiring Leah Renee Photography -There's no limit to the amount of photos we take. The more time you supply us, and the more details you give us to shoot, the more photos we will provide.-We are open to any schedule you choose, but we also offer a laid out plan for you with suggestions of how much time we will need for different things. That way you have as much freedom as you want, but also as much help as you may need in planning.-We edit every single proof. Many photographers go through proofs and make adjustments and then edit completely the pictures you order. Not us. We edit every single proof before you see them. This means your skin will be flawless. You will truly glow in your wedding attire. Also, we create many proofs with special effects and colors, leaving an original also, just in case you prefer it without effects. -Our process for Coffee Table Albums isn't painful. ;) You choose the size of book, we tell you how many photos to pick out for that size, and we do the design. The design is free with both a book purchase or a book that is included in a wedding package. We even proof the book with you before printing so you can make sure you are completely happy. We can alter it as many times as you would like. But if you have a creative personality and want to create it yourself- we are open to that too.-We supply highly trained, professional photographers who can work well under pressure, make changes at the drop of a hat, and who understand the importance of proper lighting and other photography standards.-Our two biggest goals are to provide you amazing photos and to help make your day wonderful. We stay cool under pressure, always making sure bride and groom are happy. -We are experienced. With almost ten years of shooting professionally, it's all been seen. We've experienced pretty much everything, and we know what to do in every situation. We always provide.-Every detail is a must picture. Nothing is left out.

Engagment Sessions are a great beginning to capturing your marriage. These sessions are fun and creative. We can shoot at the spot you met or the place he proposed. A 1-2 Hour session where you choose the location. Don't worrry if you're not sure, we'll have you in deciding. Engagment sessions are a great way to work together before your wedding day. And guess what- Leah Renee Photography's wedding packages come with an engagment session! Tips for your Engagement Shoot--Brightness of clothing should be comparable to the brightness of the your background. example: bright and light colors look best at the beach-Feel free to pick out multiple outfits for your session.-Consider choosing locations to shoot at that mean something to you, like where you met, your first date spot, where he proposed, or even your favorite park.-Multiple locations can be used. Try a variety like downtown and the beach. This will give you more variety in your pictures.-Don't be afraid to ask. Any question you may have is a great question, and we'd be happy to answer it!

Is it time to get the family together and take some photos to capture it? Having an event and all the relatives just happen to be getting together? Whether it's just been way too long since you've done family portraits, or you want to decorate your walls with updated shots, choosing Leah Renee Photography for helping you do so is a great idea. Working by the hour, we can provide you any service you want for your pictures. This works well for multiple families at a reunion, or an extensive single family session that includes detail and action shots. You tell us exactly what kind of shots you are looking for and we will provide you with the time it will take to do so for how many people, and all the details you may want to consider in arranging this, like outfits, locations, etc.After the session, it's two weeks until we host your images online for you to view. All proofs are edited, including skin refresh, black and white, special effects, etc. After viewing your proofs and deciding on some to order you can decide to purchase prints, products, coffee table albums, a picture package, or a disk of images with printing rights. Tips for your Family Shoot--Brightness of clothing should be comparable to the brightness of the your background. example: bright and light colors look best at the beach-If you're coordinating multiple families for a big family shot, you may want to consider choosing a few colors that look nice together or women in one color and men in another. -Family Sessions can be done in multiple locations because shooting is done by the hour. Please keep in mind the time it will take to get from one location to another.-Family Sessions can be done right at your house, indoor and outdoor or both.-If it's a large group shot you're wanting, take a look at your location and make sure it seems large enough to fit everyone.-Don't be afraid to ask. Any question you may have is a great question, and we'd be happy to answer it!

Baby Portraits

Babies are only babies for a short amount of time. We can help you capture them at their cutest times. This session is done by the hour, like all of our portrait sessions, and can be done right at your home. Do you have a nice nursery that you'd like to capture in the pictures? We can use indoors, outdoors, the beach, the park, pretty much any location you desire. Remember Me Baby PackageThis is a multiple session package that I put together so parents can capture their babies from tiny to toddler. With every session you will recieve a free 8x10 and 5x7. At the end of your 6 sessions I will create a book design for you to preview and purchase if desired. It's 6 sessions done around-0-3 months3 months6 months12 months18 months24 monthsRememeber Me Baby Package is $150 for the first session and $50 for every other session. Prints and disks can be purchased at any time.Tips for your Family Shoot--Brightness of clothing should be comparable to the brightness of the your background. example: bright and light colors look best at the beach-Knowing and planning your session at a time when your child is best behaved and rested will result in better photos, and probably more.-Baby Sessions can be done in multiple locations because shooting is done by the hour. Please keep in mind the time it will take to get from one location to another.-Baby Sessions can be done right at your house, indoor and outdoor or both.-Bring Babie's favorite toys. It will help us when trying to get that perfect smile.-Bribery is a great way to get the shots. Do they have a snack that is sure to cheer them up?-Accessories are great for babie photos. All kinds of cute outfits, and even props you want in the background will help make interesting photos.-Don't be afraid to ask. Any question you may have is a great question, and we'd be happy to answer it!

Senior Portraits

Senior Sessions are not just capturing the senior anymore. It's still about achieving beautiful proofs, but now it's also about providing a one of a kind experience for the seniors to remember forever. It's an event that they will only do once, so they should be left with an experience that they will not forget!Senior Sessions consist of a 1-2 hour session with unlimited locations and clothing changes. Editing takes two weeks and then proofs are hosted on the website for viewing. Proofs will consist of all edited photos and special effects including black and white, tints, glam effects, etc. From there you can choose to order prints, a proof album, a disk of photos with rights for printing, or a whole photo package. Tips for your Senior Shoot--Brightness of clothing should be comparable to the brightness of the background. example: a black shirt is not ideal for pictures at the beach. White or bright light colors will appear more flattering and interesting. -Choose colors that go with your skin, eyes, hair, or all. The more flattering the color is on you, the better you will look in your pictures.-Do you like a certain part of your body or face? Consider accenting it by what you choose to where or how you do your hair.-Hair can be done in different styles. It is no problem at all to find a location to style and change your look. -Makeup should be slightly darker than usually worn, as in pictures it doesn't show as easily. A nice colored gloss or lipstick looks great for ladies' pictures. -3 to 5 outfits is a good variety, but you are welcome to bring more or less. Some casual and at least one that is dressier is a good for variety.-A variety of locations is ideal for making a great senior portfolio. Consider using a place that means something to you. Also consider having different types of locations.example: the beach, downtown with brick buildings, Grandma's garden these three places look so different and will give you many different backgrounds and possibilities.
