How long has Leah Renee Photography been in business? Leah Renee Photography has been doing business since 2002. Leah Renee Photography has served the Michigan area for many years, providing people the quality of work they are looking for. Currently we are Traverse City based photographers, but we travel throughout all of Michigan. We are very familiar with the Gaylord, Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Traverse City areas. We are always looking for new and exciting locations to work at!
Who is Leah Renee? Owner and Creator of Leah Renee Photography, my full name is Leah Renee Pillsbury.
What is a coffee table album? A coffee table album is a hard cover book that has a layout printed right in the book. You can compare this to a hard cover book you pull off the shelf at a store, only your images are printed on the inside. The options with these books are absolutely limitless. What is the difference between coffee table album and proof albums? A coffee table album is a hard cover book with a design printed right onto the pages of the album. We create wonderful pictures with you and then design a whole layout based around a story of your day, using your favorite photographs. A proof album is a traditional photo album that holds actual photo prints. The proof albums we use are 3 4x6s to a page. Each hold 300 prints. Your choice of one of these comes with the basic wedding package.
What is the picture credit? The picture credit is a credit that can be used to purchase photo prints. This credit is based on Leah Renee Photography's full prices. This is not a credit to be used towards consumer pricing. Much goes into the cost of photos and prints including a base price of the image, a profit, and taxes. What does this mean exactly? It means that if you are shopping for a specific product with consumer pricing, and you would like to use your picture credit or it, you will take the consumer price and multiply it by 3 to figure the price with Leah Renee Photography. What does an engagement session include? An engagement session is a 1-2 hour session with unlimited locations. A celebration and announcement of your future wedding, we work to capture future bride and groom having fun, being intimate, and loving one another. This is a very fun session and allows us to get to know one another before your special day. An engagement session is included with the basic package. Engagement sessions can be purchased a la carte. What does a day after session include? A day after session is a 1-2 hour session with unlimited locations. We capture the bride and groom after the wedding date to capture some more shots without the stress of the event taking place. This is a great way to get extra photos of you and your significant other in your wedding attire. The Day After Sessions are very popular as the locations and backgrounds are limitless. It is very trendy to take shots of newly married couples in their dress and tux in landscapes that are unexpected. Urban, grungy buildings or sandy, sunny beaches are desirable. The basic wedding package comes with your choice of engagement or day after session. You may purchase the other if you would like both. What is included in a photo sitting? A photo sitting is a quick couple shots of a couple different poses. A sitting is perfect for someone who may just need a head shot or a single family shot, who is not interested in purchasing a whole hour of time. A sitting may or may not come with free travel, depending on exact location.
What is the difference between the photo sitting and a session? A photo sitting is a few shots meant to capture one perfect pose. A session is at least an hour and is for capturing many different poses and compositions.
What goes into factoring the prices of service? My service prices are based on many factors. Some of them are quality of technique in the area, how much effort goes into editing, designing, producing, the time completing services, profit, and taxes.
How long do proofs take? Wedding proofs take 4 weeks to view online after your event. All others, including families, babies, seniors, engagements, day afters, and children take 2 weeks to view.
How long does printing take? After placing your order by phone or web, you will receive photos in 2-3 weeks.
How long will it take for my wedding proofs? Wedding proofs take 4 weeks after your date to view them online.
What is the process to booking a session? To book a session, please first inquire about your wedding date. If we are available for your date, to hold your day we have a contract to fill out and a half down deposit is required. Our contract can be emailed or mailed to you if you prefer. We now accept all forms of payment, including cash, check, money order, credit.
What is the process of ordering photos? To order photos, please contact us by email or phone. Photos can be purchased on our website. No refunds may be issued after a purchase online, as these transactions are done through another company.
Are there photo packages? There are photo packages. These are constantly changing, so please inquire for exact pricing.
What do the rights to photos entail? The rights of photos allows you to print them as you desire. This is a nice bonus, as there is no fee from photographer. You literally get to pay cost of producing your prints. You will have rights to use the photos as you desire. We keep partial rights to the photos. This means we may print, advertise with, and show the photographs as we desire, as they are a piece of art by us.
Is photo retouching included? Photo retouching of all photos is included. Many photographers do not include this and charge extra for any retouching of skin or blemishes. With Leah Renee Photography, we clean up every shot.
Are special affects to photos included? Yes. Special affects and photo retouching are included for all photos. Many photographers now charge extra for any digital editing. We include it for every photo. Don't see a special effect that you want? Just ask. We will produce it.
How long are my photos kept? Photos are kept forever.
Can I order photos and items at any time? You may order product and prints at any time.
What sort of products are available? Please see the product tab for the many different products and companies we use.
What kinds of photography does Leah do? I do traditional, modern, contemporary photography. I do black and white, color, sepia, retro, and special color tints.
What size coffee table album is included with the basic wedding package? With the basic wedding package, a hard cover 10x10 20 page album is included. This may be upgraded for extra costs.
What types of books are available? There are many different types of books available. Please see the products tab for some detailed information of what book and print companies Leah Renee Photography belongs to and uses.
How much are design services? Design services are based on the job, but to give an idea of cost, one design for an announcement, thank you card, or wedding invite is $50 per design. The design is provided to you by disk and you can print at any lab of your choice. No design job is too big or too small for Leah Renee Photography. Please inquire for more pricing.
Does Leah do custom design work? Yes! I do all sorts of design work. I do wedding invites, save the dates, announcements, thank you cards. I do engagement announcements and shower thank yous. I design senior announcements and thank you cards. I design cards of all types, including Christmas, birthday, and congrats. I will design book layouts, calendars, logos, stationary, cards, posters, flyers. No job is too big or too small. Please inquire for pricing.
Does Leah incorporate photos into custom designs? Yes. We can put your pictures onto your custom designs!! There is no extra charge to use the photographs that we have taken on your design.
Does Leah travel? Travel for Northern Michigan is included in pricing. For outside of the Northern Michigan area, we will travel anywhere for travel costs. Please inquire for your location.
What is Online Viewing? Online viewing of your images is available on my website as soon as editing of your proofs are finished. All clients will be notified as soon as their images are online.
Is Leah available for my date? Please call or email to see if your date is available. We work on a first come, first serve basis, so book your date ASAP.
